Excursion to Donana from Seville 

 


Doñana

 

One of the most important natural place of  Europa

 We will begin our tour starting from Seville, entering in Coria del Rio, where we will appreciate the Guadalquivir. After get into Coria del Rio, we will find in the natural space Donana, located in the province of Huelva to appreciate the Dehesa de Abajo, a place situated in the northern part of the marshlands, where we will have the opportunity to see a large number of birds and discover the wonderful nature. We will pass through the rice fields and will see the largest colony of storks in Europe. The marshlands are home every year more than one hundred individuals from more than 300 species of birds making this the most important wetland in Europe.

We will continue our route in 4×4, through the forest of the northern area of natural space in order to later tour the village of El Rocio, the chapel and the SEO observatory. After discovering this place we will continue our walking route in the palaces and trails Donana National Park by the river Rocina. We will stop for lunch and then we will arrive at the beach to see the largest dune system in our country. Upon returning and taking advantage of the evening we will cross the pine forest of the Abalario, possibly an area where we can spot some of the large mammals of the Doñana Natural Area.
